Pete will have been the first point-of-contact with Badleys for many of our customers as since 1995 he has been responsible for coordinating TrapTester support, maintenance and training.
He began his career as a structural geologist at Imperial College (London), where his PhD research was on deformation processes associated with fault zones in the deep crust in Western Australia and in the NW Highlands of Scotland.
From here he moved to TectoStrat Consultants in Amsterdam as a field geologist, working in Yemen, North Africa, Alaska, Indonesia and Pakistan. In 1990 he moved to the Fault Analysis Group at Liverpool as a research geologist. While at Liverpool Pete undertook not only mainstream research within the group but also became a proficient Landmark seismic interpreter, a skill which to this day stands him in good stead with the majority of our customers.
During the course of Pete's time at Liverpool he collaborated with Badleys staff on a number of projects and in early 1995 he moved across from Liverpool to Badleys, to take direct responsibility for TrapTester support and training. This role takes Pete on many overseas trips and a number of our customers have seen Pete as their first visitor from Badleys.
Pete manages to find the time and energy to race in triathlons.
