Nick Kusznir is Professor of Geophysics at Liverpool University, where he heads the Basin Dynamics Research Group. Since the late 1980s Nick has worked as a member of the Badleys extended team, collaborating on research projects, consultancy projects, training courses and publications.

Nick is currently coordinating the MM2 research project, in which Badley Geoscience are collaborating partners.

Over the years Nick has worked particularly closely with Alan Roberts on bringing the benefits of cutting-edge academic research to the wider industry audience. Nick and Alan first collaborated on showing how an understanding of lithosphere-scale geodynamics can aid the exploration of rift basins. In recent years their focus has turned to understanding and exploring rifted continental margins in global deepwater settings.
